The 2017 edition of WORLD OCEAN JOURNAL focuses on the many ways that the ocean impacts the health and well-being of humans on the planet. In this issue: essays about the value of marine life for the treatment of disease; the ways in which plastic pollution impacts our health and ecosystems; how climate change impacts our health; new technologies bringing fresh water to billions; how the ocean nurtures our spiritual selves; the benefits on our mind and body from being in, near and on the water; and how using 100% of the fish and thoughtful use of marine species will benefit all of mankind. WORLD OCEAN TRAVEL
Water, Wildlife, and the Wonders of Antarctica

What makes this trip to the end of the earth so special? For one, March is an exceptional time to see the marine wildlife of Antarctica as species prepare for their migrations north. Additionally, this 2019 trip will offer insights into marine biology and citizen science programs. Experts will be on board to share their knowledge, including W2O’s own Peter Neill. Peter will be the featured lecturer on this Borton Overseas trip, where he will provide insights on what happens in and to Antarctica, and the ways in which the health of the continent impacts the entire planet. EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT THROUGH DEC 31. Scheduled for March 2019. For every Citizen of the Ocean who contracts for a voyage with Borton Overseas, a contribution is made in support of W2O programs.
